With over one million tourists visiting annually, Helsinki is a very popular destination. The number and variety of accommodation available ensures there is something to suit travellers of just about every taste and budget. Most Helsinki hotels are within easy reach of the port and the city centre.
Booking in advance isn't essential with this city, but advisable to secure the best deals. Overall accommodation here, like much of Scandanavia, isn't especially cheap.
Crowne Plaza Hotel is a first-class hotel with facilities for leisure and business travellers, and features several restaurants, a day spa and a fitness centre. The Hilton Helsinki Strand is located near the waterfront and is in walking distance to the city centre. A Holiday Inn is located right in the city centre, next to a major railway station.
